  stunning location and an even better venue. This place is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The owner is doing a fantastic job at getting this restaurant on the map (despite being new to the hospitality industry). Excellent service, food and surrounds. Everyone should come to Under The Sun at least once, but I assure you after that one time you will go again with family and friends.

  We had the best night here on New YEARS Eve. It's a stunning Cafe, funky lounge area and stage that hosts open mic nights, with its ruby velvet curtains and instruments galore. I enjoyed local wine and pizza made from local produce. A great crowd of farmers and emerging passionate green locals. A great discovery.

  A new restaurant which has only been opened for a number of weeks. it is open for meals Friday evening, breakast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on a Sunday. The owner Doug who set this up from scratch converting an old garage into an "eatery" full of character is really trying hard and having a full blooded go. He is to be commended for employing locals with little experience who in time will become excellent service providers. To begin with as to be expected the menu is somewhat limited with choice but is sufficiently diverse for everyone to find a satisfactory choice. The wine list concentrates on quality locally made wines and is excellent. There is a good range of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Prices are reasonable. The greeting on arrival is warm and friendly . I have had several meals there now and are happy with the quality of the presentations. It may not be fine dining...but it is right up there with better quality "pub grub". Flathead tails on Friday Evening were cooked to perfection. The community of Strathbogie needs this restaurant and deserves the support of locals and those in nearby towns and villages.
